The University of Wisconsin-Platteville reached out in hopes that we could create a custom wall graphic for their innovation center. They wanted to include the “Steps to innovation” and a few key symbols to their process.
I created various design options based off of their initial vision. I started to storyboard ideas of what it would look like for the graphics to have a sequence. I wanted them to all connect and play off of each other instead of being stand alone ideas. I started to connect them with visuals and line-work to guide your eye through the space. Once the layout was complete, I added the background gradients. Next, I wanted to add a subtle background graph patterning to the background as a nod to research and note taking.
Once the graphic was finalized, I was able to work with the print vendors to ensure proper installation as well as coordinate professional photography of the space itself to showcase our custom graphic.
