Hayward Memorial Hospital is located in Hayward Wisconsin. This client wanted to install a graphic in their main lobby area that symbolized the community of Hayward. In our initial meetings they suggested implementing community photos, brand colors, nature, and map imagery.
I was able to create a wall graphic to showcase this by creating a custom map of Hayward, using gradients, and custom imagery.
Additionally, here are a few examples of my previous process concepts for the project. I incorporated Haywards’s color scheme and logo into all of my design ideas. The concepts I created are centered around Haywards brand colors and logo primarily, we did not have access to Hayward’s fonts. In the first concept, I used Haywards logo, brand colors, and community photos by creating a grid system in the background of the logo. Next, I created a diagonal grid system to implement the photos and emphasize the logo. This option had more negative space, which the client appreciated. Then, I created a mission statement wall with Haywards values. Lastly, I created a nature option with Haywards primary blue and kept the background faded with a light gray. I worked primarily in Illustrator to design the graphics, and then I transferred the designs from Illustrator to InDesign in order to place them into the rendering.
